Chamber Music in Retreat Lodges has established a reputation for bringing classical chamber music of the highest quality to County Kerry, Ireland while delving into the traditions of the area, extracting nuggets of gold and setting them in a contemporary context.

In 2002 the festival welcomed Scottish Composer Eddie McGuire as its guest and saw the premiere of his “A Fiddler’s Life” featuring his own music, music by Padraig O’Keefe and traditional tunes performed by a classical and local traditional musicians. These tracks are from the performance given at Siamsa Tire, Tralee on 8 September 2002
